If
you're thinking, "It's just a tent," you are in for a big--and very pleasant
surprise. Each of our Yurt Cabins has 709sf of living space and is constructed
on its own spacious 40' x 40' deck with a hot tub, privacy screening, and stunning
views of the mountains and picturesque ravines. Each is fully self-catering
with completely furnished kitchen, large shower bath, custom queen bed, a utility
room with washer/dryer (in the Mountain Cabins) for long term visits, central
heat and air for year round comfort, romantic log flame gas stoves so you can
sit in front of the fire, a gas grill just outside the door for your barbecuing
pleasure. Deck tables with woven chairs overlook the mountains providing the
perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast, a romantic sunset dinner, or a place
to surf the internet on your laptop using our high speed WiFi access.

StoneWind's Yurt Cabins are available in two configurations: Deluxe
Mountain Cabins and the Sanctuary Suite.
Our seven Deluxe
Mountain Cabins, built down one side of the mountain, have 300'
to 600' of separation horizontally and vertically between them, privacy screening
around the hot tub areas, great mountain views, and all the luxury amenities.
When you are on the deck of your Deluxe Mountain Cabin, you are in your
own private world.
The
Sanctuary Suite, our most private, most elegantly
furnished cabin, is built on a separate finger of the mountain away from the
other cabins for the utmost in
privacy and luxury.
StoneWind
Retreat's Yurt Cabins, manufactured by Pacific Yurts of Cottage Grove, Oregon,
are sturdy and practical as well as beautiful. Designed as permanent structures
to last for years, yurts have wooden lattice walls and rafters reaching 16
feet to a domed skylight and ceiling fan. Each cabin is fully insulated and
has central heat and air to keep you comfortable in winter and summer.
If you are wondering how Yurts do in "weather," the answer is, "great!" With reinforced lattice walls and airtight outer "skins," Yurt Cabins are guaranteed against 80 mph winds and 10" snows, yet they give the sense of being connected to nature while you relax in comfort. Environmentally friendly, harmonious with natural settings, Yurts have an energy and openness uniquely their own to make your stay a wonderful experience to remember--and repeat.
When was the last time you watched deer graze from your private deck or saw hawks and eagles soar on the wind? Have you heard any owls, treefrogs, bull frogs, or coyotes sing their night songs lately, or sat in your private hot tub and watched the starry heavens spread against blackest night without light pollution? Here at Stonewind, our unique and carefully protected natural setting allows you to reconnect with the simple things you may have forgotten--or have yet to know.
You can enjoy yurt living year round and experience
the beauty of the wilderness in all its seasons from the lush green of
spring and summer to the radiant colors of autumn to the peaceful quiet
of winter. If you are an early riser, watch breath taking sunrises over
the mountains and enjoy wild turkey and deer on their morning forage.
Catch glorious sunsets every evening from the deck of your yurt cabin
and absorb the peace and contentment of being in harmony with nature.
Mountain sunrises and sunsets are among them.
Come see for yourself.
