Please Note our Policies: Our
quiet, remote location is an advantage while you are here, but it also makes
it difficult for us to re-book rooms on short notice. Consequently, all
sales are final 21 days before arrival. We recommend you
purchase Peace of Mind with inexpensive trip insurance. For an additional
7% of your reservation, Travel Guard will cover most of the reasons we hear
from people who want to cancel, i.e., illnesses in the family, ice,
snow, or violent storms, change of duty orders, termination of employment,
trip delays enroute due to car trouble, and other unavoidable problems. We
particularly recommend Trip Insurance between December 1st and May 15th,
the times we are most likely to have interrupting weather. Your
trip is guaranteed if you are unable to get here because of weather conditions
on your end or ours.

Travel Guard Insurance may be purchased online
or by phone at time of booking.
Specials with time limits or for specific days may not be doubled or
combined with other special rates unless specifically permitted. Holiday
pre-paid and non-refundable.
Reservations made under our Free Night
and One Night Specials must be pre-paid, are non-refundable,
and subject to availability at time of booking. There is a $20 cleaning charge
for One Night Stays unless otherwise noted.
Extended Stay Reservations for Three
or More nights receiving a discount are handled
as Standard Reservations and billed under our
now, 50%—21 days prior" policy.

We highly recommend that everyone purchase trip

considered a first cancellation then a new reservation. See below for refund
Refunds on Cancellations 21
Days or less before Arrival: If you purchased trip
insurance and cancel or reschedule 21 days or less before your arrival
date for a covered reason, we will email you a statement of account
to assist you in filing a claim with Travel Guard. Claims may
be filed by calling 1-888-409-7749 at which time they will let you
know what additional documentation (like a doctor's note) is required
did not purchase trip insurance or your reason for cancellation is
not covered by the policy, then your deposit will be charged for any
dates of your original reservation that we are unable to resell. Any
remaining balance will be refunded to you by check less a $35 cancellation
fee per cabin.
Refunds on Cancellations More
Days Prior to Arrival: If you cancel or reschedule more
than 21 days prior to your arrival date, your deposit will be refunded
by check less a $35.00 cancellation fee per cabin or you may leave your
deposit on file and apply it to another reservation once without incurring
the fee. If you purchased trip insurance and cancel outside of
the 21 days prior to arrival for a covered reason,
the trip insurance can by used to recover the cancellation fee.
To cancel or reschedule, you must contact us by phone during normal business hours and receive a cancellation number. If you attempt to cancel by email, do not assume your reservation has been cancelled unless we return your email with a cancellation number because your email may not have been received. We are not responsible for delays in cancellations caused by email problems and cancellations received after hours will be counted as received on the next business day. All rescheduling is subject to availability and pricing adjustments for the day of the week, seasonal rates and special events. All refunds will be made by check payable to name on the credit card or checking account. There are no refunds for early departure, and all deposits placed on file will be forfeited if not used within one year.

Therefore, in order to preserve the safety, peace, and quiet
for all our Guests,
StoneWind does do not allow motorcycles,
dirt bikes, or ATV's.
For the same reason, StoneWind is "unplugged."
There are TV's with video and DVD capability
in the Cabins plus a DVD/Video lending library,
but we deliberately do not have cable or satellite television reception.
We do have free WIFI.

"Such a wonderful place. I needed a weekend getaway and this place completely blew me away. Breathtaking views of nature. Saw deer on the walking trails. I was serenaded by the birds, crickets, and even the rain. Sp peaceful and absolutely gorgeous. Had a wonderful message by Fran and the staff was very nice. This is a great place for the solo traveler. I will definitely be back. Thank you for the peaceful meditation time, the hot tub, the trails and for allowing me to enjoy your property. I love yurts.

This was an amazing honeymoon. We don’t want it to be over! The view is beautiful, it was magical to watch the sun rise every morning and the stars come out at night. The hot tub was fun and relaxing and the meditation was just what we needed to start our new life as man and wife. We will definitely come back!

I could not have asked for a better honeymoon!! My husband planned the entire
trip and left it to be a surprise for me. Absolutely wonderful surprise.
I was a little nervous on the trip up the mountain, but as soon as I stepped
into the yurt- it took my breath away!! Better than any hotel- period. We
spent our time here watching movies, playing board games, hot tubbing, and
just enjoying this special weekend together. We went into Fayetteville for
a fancy lunch at an Italian restaurant named Noodles. (highly recommend it!)
We are leaving in the morning and we are truly sad to go. The views were
amazing with the snow and the people and the yurts were AWESOME! We will
