A Great Massage

A Beautiful Place
Make the most of our mountain's magic with an "in cabin" full body massage from one of our two Licensed Massage Therapists. An hour of massage will leave you relaxed but energized and ready to enjoy your vacation. If both you and your partner choose a massage, our massage therapists can do them sequentially in the same visit. A full body massage is a wonderful way to begin your stay--and to end it.

Fran works to release tension from the shoulders and back, the primary places we carry the responsibilities and pressures of day to day living. Touch is a very important part of human contact. It helps us feel connected and loved by those around us. Both Full Body and Chair Massage applies touch through stroking and kneading of parts of the body to aid circulation and relax the muscles.

Swedish Massage: There are many forms of massage, but Swedish massage, developed in Stockholm more than two centuries ago, is the most common and best-known form practiced today. The goal of Swedish Massage is to relax the entire body by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. Additional techniques include circular pressure applied with the hands and palms, firm kneading of muscles, percussion-like tapping, and bending and stretching of fingers and extremities. Massage Oils are used to reduce friction and stimulate the skin. Swedish massage is exceptional for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

The Hot Stone Therapy following the full body massage, puts you into an even deeper state of relaxation.Hot Stones Therapy: The use of hot stones for healing dates back to ancient times, but it wasn't until Arizona massage therapist Mary Nelson introduced her hot stone massage technique, called LaStone Therapy, that the use of hot stones for massage caught on in the US. Hot Stone Therapy may be used as a separate and complete form of massage or it may be incorporated into an overall full body massage. When requested, the Therapist can incorporate Hot Stone Therapy as part of an overall full body massage.

Smooth hot or cold stones, usually basalt or marble, are used to massage the body. With heated stones, muscles relax allowing the massage therapist to work deeper into the muscle. Stones are heated in hot water and placed under the back, along both sides of the spine, and on top of the torso and are believed to heat the chakra or meridians centers. Heated stones coated in oil are then used directly in the hands of the therapist delivering various massaging strokes. Heated smooth, flat stones are placed on key points on the body.
