StoneWind Retreat is located off I-540 midway between Ft. Smith and Fayetteville, Arkansas. The closest commercial airport (30 minute drive) is Ft. Smith Regional Airport (FSM), served by American and Northwest Airlines.
Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA), the major regional airport north of Fayetteville, while a somewhat farther drive, is served by all major airlines with either direct or commuter flights into all major cities.
For those wanting an FBO, Drake Field (FYV) on the south side of Fayetteville, 30 minutes away, is an excellent airport with jet capable runways.
The most direct route to StoneWind from Texas, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Oklahoma, and points east and west, is to connect with I-40 which runs east and west through the middle of the country.
From North Texas: out of Dallas or North Texas take I-75 to US 69 through Durant, Atoka, McAlister to Checotah and I-40. Take I-40 East to Fort Smith, AR then follow directions below.
From Missouri, Kansas, and points North take I-44 to Joplin then
Hwy 71 &
I-540 south through Neosho, MO down through
NW Arkansas to Fayetteville.
